Infinium Welcomes Amarjit Pall as Channel Director Urban Logistics Hubs

April 7, 2021

Infinium Logistics Solutions [ILS] has welcomed Amarjit Pall to the team as Channel Director of Urban Logistics Hubs.

Amarjit will now lead the development of a ‘global map’ transforming prime real estate, including underutilised car parks, into a range of sustainable final mile logistics services.

The Urban Hubs footplate has several innovative solutions which allow faster and more convenient deliveries with a lower carbon footprint. Prime real estate can be transformed to allow charging hubs for cargo bikes and other electric vehicles, ecommerce storage and fulfilment operations including sameday delivery, micro mobility scooter hubs, e-grocery and other click and collect solutions.

Amarjit has over 35 years’ experience working within the Last Mile Logistics sector and worked for a number of innovative operators during this time including Addison Lee, CitySprint and Rico Logistics. In particular he was managing large scale last mile delivery operations to the Pharmaceutical and Parcel sectors in the UK, Europe and India.

Amarjit said “Cities are looking to become ‘Smart Cities’ aiming for less traffic congestion and lower carbon emissions. We need to focus on making the final mile more environmentally friendly and look at ways to cut out the middle mile element, such as shipping direct from an Urban Hub. By rethinking how we use property assets, will allow us to create greener opportunities, which will only mean the reduction in the flow of NOx-emitting traffic and lower NO2 emissions.”

Amarjit continued: “I am excited to join Infinium Logistics Solutions because of their vision of recommissioning unused or underutilised spaces to create Urban Hubs across the UK and Europe. This will result in the development of more economical greener practices by having the ability to create a shared delivery infrastructure, including fulfilment. I also look forward to working alongside our ‘Out of Home’ channel who are developing open locker and PickUp DropOff networks”

ILS can provide a service to directly manage or facilitate the design, set up and management of Urban Hubs. ILS, part of the Infinium Group, already operates in the UK, France, Spain and Germany and has further expansion plans during 2021.
